Ascent Academy
At Ascent Academy, we’re passionate about providing a space for athletes to sharpen their volleyball skills, and become the best version of themselves. Our programming is designed to develop individual skill in a highly focused, and intentional environment.
Our Programs
-
In a group of 8 athletes or less, develop all the skills needed to excel in your position. We offer specialised training for setters, attackers, and passers. Each session covers all the skills needed to be the best version of yourself on the court. In a regular practice, coaches need to focus on the developing the whole team, so your individual skills may not develop as quickly ; this program is designed to run alongside club season to give you the edge over your opponents. Because of the group size, coaches are able to better tailor training sessions to help you achieve your personal goals. Get more touches on the ball, with more personalized training. Training runs between April and June.
-
As the Head Coach of the KCS Sr Boys program, I am passionate about developing my players to be the best they can. This program is designed for those looking to tryout for the KCS Sr Boys team in September, but is open to select athletes outside of the program. The training runs twice per week, with 2 hours of on court training, and 1 hour of fitness and conditioning. Training runs in July and August.
-
Private coaching is the best way to get better fast, as it ensures you get every touch on a volleyball with highly focused, personalized feedback. One private session is equal to about 12 team practices in the number of reps you receive. Every rep is intentional, and focused on overall improvement. Dial in your skills today!

Player Highlights:
1x BCSS Provincial Champion
1x BC AAA Most Outstanding Libero
2× Second Team All Conference (NAIA Riverstate)
Riverstate Conference Championship Finalist
During my time as a collegiate volleyball player, it became apparent to me the importance of adaptability and a strong volleyball IQ. When coaching, I not only focus on the physicality that volleyball demands but the split second decision making it takes to reach a higher level. As a Libero, my goal is to develop players confidence in defensive skills and court awareness. I am looking forward to helping players find their voice on and off the court and to foster a true team environment.
